Thanks for visiting my site!

I have lived in this mansion for almost 2 1/2 years now, first with a Korean girl, then a Japanese man, and now I'm living with a mixed couple - Japanese and Canadian. They're only staying in Japan for about 3 months, so they'll leave at the end of July. I'm now looking for a new roommate to come in from July 29th, 2009. Thanks for considering it!

The mansion is about 5 minutes walk from Takadanobaba station. Just go out the station, walk down Sakae-dori, famous for it's variety of great cheap food and nice Izakayas. Then cross a bridge over the Kanda river. Then you'll pass Tokyo Fuji University, a beautiful quiet campus, which is also the view from my balcony!

The room is on the 5th floor of a 5-story buliding. It was built in 1980, but "reformed" in January of 2007, so everything is like-new. The building owner is the kind of man who takes great pride in his work, so the final apartment is in really great shape!
There are windows on three sides (North, West, and South), and on the East side is a wall that is next to a stairwell, so in effect, there are no neighbors. That's nice for when we have friends over or want to listen to music - no need to worry about bothering the neighbors. The large number of windows also provides for a very bright, cheery atmosphere - no more living in dark boxes!

As far as the room for rent:
It's an 8-mat room with flooring and 2 windows (one very large and one small). If you have a lot of clothes/stuff, there is more than enough space with 6 closets for storage!!

We will share a fully furnished 13-mat living room (I had more than 20 people in it for my birthday party last year...more than enough space). Also, there is an attached kitchen with 2 sinks and 2 burners, and a full sized refrigerator - perfect for all your cooking needs!

There is also a separate toilet and bath, and a washroom with a sink and washer/dryer combo!
The full-size bath has an automatic fill button, so it's very easy to take a nice hot bath after work.

The balcony is connected to the living room and to my bedroom. It's very spacious, and I've even thought of getting a table/chairs to relax out there in the summer.

Overall, my building owner and I have both put a lot of effort into making a wonderful home where I am living very happily now.
The only thing that will be missing is my great roommate to share the empty room.
Why not share my home, and make it even better?? (^_^)/

Money, Rules, and all that jazz~

The monthly rent for my spare room is 90,000 yen/month.
There is also a 1 month security deposit payable when you move in, so the first down payment comes out to a total of 180,000 yen.

Bills will be divided evenly. I love music, the outdoors, arts, computers, traveling, and eating great food!
I'm a very open-minded person, and I can get along with almost anybody.

After 4 years in Asia, I've grown tired of living in dark boxes where I never look forward to coming home. I plan to stay in Japan for a little while longer, so I threw my whole effort into finding and creating a great place that I will be happy with for years to come -- and I was successful!

I work as a private high school English teacher, teach business English lessons (mostly privately), and work as a part-time actor/narrator (look for me on TV!)

I am a very social person, and I like very much to have people around, so the idea of living alone wasn't so appealing to me. I first moved in with a great roommate - a Korean woman. We lived together for about 1 year and then she moved on. Then I lived with a Japanese man for 1 year.
He also moved on, and now I'm looking for a new roommate. :)

I'm very busy, so not often home. But I also love having home-parties or inviting friends over for dinner or what-not on occasion.

About you

I'm looking for someone who is interested in making a home - not just a place to crash while you bum in Japan for a while. Although I don't mind someone short-term, I would prefer someone who is looking for a place to settle into a bit.

Men or women are both welcome!
I don't care about race/religion/nationality/age/sex/etc...
But, I am the kind of person who loves to be around people different from himself, so a white guy from South Carolina wouldn't be my first pick.
As I live in Japan and I'm very interested in Japan, I'd love to live with a Japanese person. We can teach each other language and culture, and just enjoy our differences.
Also, I'd be happy to live with someone from a completely different culture.

Aside from that, I would like someone who isn't too dirty, loud, quick-tempered, etc...
I really hate bad smells, so someone generally clean is nice.

If you're a generally nice person, I'm looking for you!
